Filling Ingredients
- 700 g fresh strawberries
- 1 tablespoon coconut sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornflour
- 150 ml fresh orange juice
Crumble Ingredients
- 200 g whole wheat flour
- 100 g vegan butter
- ⅓ cup rolled oats
- ⅓ cup almond flakes
- ⅓ cup coconut sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
To prepare the filling, first, wash and cut the strawberries in halves and prepare the orange juice.
Add the strawberries into a pie or baking dish. Add the cornstarch and sugar and pour the orange juice. Combine all the ingredients making sure the strawberries are properly coated
In a big mixing bowl, add the flour, oats, almonds, coconut sugar, cinnamon, and melted vegan butter. Combine all the ingredients using your hands until you have a crumbly consistency.
Sprinkle the topping generously over the strawberries until they are all covered.
Bake for 35 minutes at 180C (350F).
