*Optional. You can leave the tofu marinating with soy sauce while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
Combine the chickpea flour with the spice mix and the plant-based milk or water.
Whisk to get a smooth batter. If there are lumps, you can use a blender for a couple of seconds.
Slice the tofu block in four pieces using a sharp knife.
Place the all-purpose flour in a plate and the breadcrumbs in another plate.
Coat one tofu slice with all-purpose flour, then transfer to the bowl with the chickpea flour batter, and last, coat with breadcrumbs.
Heat some oil using a shallow pan, add the tofu schnitzel, and cook until golden brown.
Flip and cook on the other side.
When crispy, transfer to a paper towel to release any excess oil.
Serve with some potatoes, a green salad and lemon wedges to squeeze some fresh lemon juice.
